Unbroken (Random House, 2010)

Is this one of the best books of courage and resilience ever written? I think so, and it is also a great and entertaining, though hard to take at times, story of survival under the harshest of circumstances. Especially inspiring is the immense transformation in Louie Zamperini after he returns from World War II. Hard to overstate the quality of this book. I also recommend Seabiscuit by Laura Hillenbrand. Both are outstanding.
