It can be done!
“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, I’m possible.”
Audrey Hepburn
Who says it can’t be done? The people who aren’t doing it. And the idea that something cannot be done is mostly an illusion anyway. Don’t believe it.
Here’s a tiny sampling of the thousands of things that were “impossible,” until someone did them.
- Powered flight
- Speaking live with someone thousands of miles away
- Man landing on the moon
- Heart transplant
- Cure for Hepatitis C
- Circumnavigation of the globe
- Scaling of Mt. Everest
- Running a sub four-minute mile.
- Curing Cancer
- Eliminating Heart Disease
The only way the last two items differ from those before them is that they haven’t been done…yet.
By the way, regarding breaking the four-minute mile, doctors said that the human heart would explode in the attempt. Ahem, many also said that smoking was good for you. In the year after Roger Bannister broke the barrier, 17 other runners did the same.
Lee Iacocca said “We are often presented with great opportunities brilliantly disguised as unsolvable problems.” That pretty well describes a situation right before someone figures out how to overcome it. Someone like you.
