Making a Difference

When you meet my good friend Patrick Finn, you instantly know that he is the kind of person who knows why we are here–to help one another. This year, Patrick has dedicated his 50+ Hidden Hills Guys’ Ski Trip to raising money for brain cancer research and new treatments in memory of his good friend, Craig Aaronson. I did not know Craig, but I have lost dear friends to this dreaded disease, as I imagine you may have too. I am going on this trip and if you would like to sponsor me or any of the skiers you can Click Here. Please read this guest post from Patrick, and thank you for your help.

In Memory of Craig Aaronson, my good friend and neighbor

Craig Aaronson passed away on October 29th, 2014 from brain cancer. This year, I decided to dedicate our annual ski trip to raising money for Brain Cancer Research in honor and memory of Craig. He was an amazing man, husband, father, and friend. We all miss him greatly, and I think this is a wonderful way to honor his memory and friendship.

If you didn’t know Craig, you probably at least know a relative, neighbor, friend, or co-worker that has suffered or is suffering from brain tumors. Today, nearly 700,000 Americans are living with a brain tumor and many more will be diagnosed each year. Brain tumors are deadly and can strike men, women, and children at any time. Unite with us in the fight against brain tumors, and let’s do something positive to help find better treatments and a cure. After looking into several charities, I choose The National Brain Tumor Society, because they are a great organization and highly rated by Charity Navigator.

This year, 50+ guys are going on the ski trip, February 25th-29th, most of whom were friends of Craig. You may sponsor any one of the skiers with a donation. There will be several different levels of raffles for ski gear, restaurant gift certificates, jewelry, and other prizes for all those who make a donation of at least $50.00. The amount donated will qualify the sponsor for the raffles. Please make sure to leave your name and email address when signing up, so we can contact you to let you know if you won any of the prizes.

Let’s honor Craig by making this a successful campaign to raise money for Brain Cancer Research!
