“A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds.”
Proverbs 31:10
I think we may have hidden cameras in our pantry. Years ago, I was on a phone call in my home office and got a text from my wife. Not unusual. She is out with our girls and soon to be on her way to their volleyball game, which I am planning to attend as well.
She asks me to bring protein shakes, which are in the pantry. I text back, “Yes,” partly so as to not forget her request, and I finish up my phone call. I go to the pantry to get the drinks.
When I get there, I look around but don’t see them. I know what they look like, but they are not there. I am about to leave and think, “Well, maybe I should look harder,” so I look again, but they are still not there.
I’m just about to text back and tell her that the girls must have already had them at home, not an unusual occurrence, when I look down at my phone, and there is a new text from my wife that simply says, “They are in the rice drawer.”
And that’s why I think there must be cameras in the pantry; either that, or my wife knows me even better than I thought she did.
