Ok, golf can be a pain in the neck, that’s true. But it is also fun when I remember the following:
That it affords me the camaraderie of my friends.
When I manage to have fun playing, even when not playing well.
When I remember to enjoy the beauty of the course.
When I resist giving unsolicited lessons to my companions, especially those who play better than I do.
When I’m thankful just to be out there playing.
When I realize I can always get better; that’s what lessons are for.
When I remember that it is, after all, just a game.
Whenever I make new friends or have an awesome conversation.
When I realize there is always tomorrow to try again.
